SLAPHILLARY is back, brought to you by its creator Marie Poe, an award-winning filmmaker and animation producer of numerous hit shows, including MTV’s Beavis and Butthead.
SlapHillary is an interactive game online enabling users to slap an animated image of Hillary, from the left or right, by pushing a button. It’s good, clean fun for the whole family — and educational too! Young folks will get a first-hand lesson in civics, by taking part in America’s grand tradition of political satire.
Why SlapHillary? Why Now?
Now seems the perfect time to revive SlapHillary. Barack Obama may have won the 2008 election, but it looks like the Clintons are pulling the strings.
Obama has packed his cabinet with old Clinton loyalists, even placing Hillary herself in the Secretary of State position. Obama Democrats wanted change. Instead, they’re getting Bill and Hillary, Part 3. In this unique period of history, Democrats and Republicans alike can enjoy slapping Hillary!
And don’t forget to check out some of our other animation classics, also restored from the old SlapHillary.com Web site. Popular games include Slap Bill, Slap Osama, and slap the Three Media Stooges.
SlapHillary: The Early Years
Marie Poe created and launched the humorous Web site SlapHillary.com on September 25, 2000. Released under the auspices of David Horowitz’’s Center for the Study of Popular Culture (since renamed the David Horowitz Freedom Center), SlapHillary became an overnight sensation on the Internet, reaching its peak when anchorman Brit Hume of Fox News visited the site to administer an on-air slap to Hillary on national television on September 27, 2000.
The Economist named SlapHillary.com the number one Web site of the U.S. election season, in its October 7, 2000 issue.
Rumor has it that Hillary herself may have been forced to take note. She was then running against Rick Lazio for a Senate seat from New York. “The buzz among political Web surfers - and even those in Clinton headquarters - is a new Internet site, SlapHillary.com…,” reported The New York Post on September 29.
SlapHillary Depends on Your Donations
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we lost the SlapHillary.com domain name, which expired on May 22, 2005. SlapHillary lives on, though, at its new home: SlapHillary.org.
For seven years, SlapHillary was offline and unavailable (aside from a few illegal pirate versions which popped up here and there).
We want to make sure that SlapHillary never again goes offline. Indeed, we have big plans for updating the site with a series of brand new animation games. The problem is that animation costs money — a lot more money than we have.
Please help out with a donation, by pressing the PayPal Donate button in the upper right corner of this page. And thanks in advance for your kind support!
